ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI has worked as a sound engineer on behalf of Eugenio Finardi, Elio e le Storie Tese, Garbo, The Memphis Horns, Mimmo Locasciulli, Greg Cohen (Tom Waits Band), Gino Paoli, Donatella Rettore and many others, as well as taking part countless tours in Italy and around the world (The Manhattan Transfer, Gilberto Gill, Miriam Makeba, Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, etc.). As a musician he has played on records by Roberto Vecchioni, Aeroplani Italiani, Rudy Marra, Banda Osiris, Tony and i Volumi (his "official" musical group). In addition to radio, television and advertising, his work is appreciated in the theater world, having composed the original music for shows by the Settimo Theater, the Osiris Band, the Kismet Theater, the French group ZUR, Marco Paolini and Lucilla Giagnoni.
Each new production by ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI always deserves careful listening for the amount of ideas and sound suggestions it offers. Big Bang is his latest work for our label and follows Atlante (2001) Chimera (2003) and Adagio (2008), works conceived to support theatrical performances that have aroused widespread interest in both national and international critics. As on other occasions, ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI takes on the role of composer-performer-sound engineer, directly approaching both the creative aspect of making music and the technical-instrumental processes (and difficulties) that allow it to spread.


ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI ha lavorato come sound engineer per conto di Eugenio Finardi, Elio e le Storie Tese, Garbo, The Memphis Horns, Mimmo Locasciulli, Greg Cohen (Tom Waits Band), Gino Paoli, Donatella Rettore e tanti altri, oltre a prendere parte a innumerevoli tour in italia e nel mondo (The Manhattan Transfer, Gilberto Gill, Miriam Makeba, Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, ecc.). Come musicista ha suonato nei dischi di Roberto Vecchioni, Aeroplani Italiani, Rudy Marra, Banda Osiris, Tony e i Volumi (il suo gruppo musicale “ufficiale”). Oltre che per la radio, la televisione e la pubblicità il suo lavoro è apprezzato nel modno del teatro, avendo composto le musiche originali per spettacoli del Teatro Settimo, della Banda Osiris, del Teatro Kismet, del gruppo francese ZUR, di Marco Paolini e di Lucilla Giagnoni.
Ogni nuova produzione di ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI merita sempre un ascolto attento per la quantità di spunti e suggestioni sonore che propone. Big Bang è il suo ultimo lavoro per la nostra etichetta e segue Atlante (2001) Chimera (2003) ed Adagio (2008) , opere concepite a supporto di spettacoli teatrali che hanno suscitato un ampio interesse nella critica sia nazionale sia internazionale. Come nelle altre occasioni ANTONIO PAOLO PIZZIMENTI indossa i panni del compositore-esecutore-ingegnere del suono, abbordando in modo diretto tanto l’aspetto creativo del fare musica quanto i processi (e le difficoltà) tecnico-strumentali che ne permettono la diffusione.
